About Us
We have been committed to the formation of students academically, socially, and emotionally for over seventy years. The story of Assumption-St. Bridget School began in 1947, with the Sisters of St. Dominic of Tacoma. The Dominican Sisters led the charge in building our Catholic identity, academic excellence, and the value of community. In 1949, the original school building was opened to serve the first four elementary grades. While it had modest beginnings, the school continued to grow to serve K-8th grades. In 1994, the school became jointly supported by Assumption and St. Bridget parishes and the school was renamed. In 2014, our accredited Pre-K program began to serve our growing community.
Over seventy years later, we are fortunate to be able to uphold and strengthen the foundation that was built by the Dominican Sisters. As the only two-parish school in the Archdiocese of Seattle, our school families come from many areas each bringing their own gifts and experiences that strengthen our community.
